Summery
This guide is the product of three years of fieldwork as a part of the Kurdistan Botanical Foundation projects in Qara Dagh, Iraqi Kurdistan. This guide comprises 181 bird species with their photos, English/Kurdish names, descriptions, habitat, occurrence, and conservation status. Conservation status was evaluated based on the IUCN Red List. Five of the bird species studied are globally endangered (BirdLife International, 2017), and one is a new bird recorded for Iraq.
